Like many canine-like creatures, Vornskrs have well developed senses. They possess keen forward facing eyes with overlapping fields of vision, allowing them to see with exceptional perception of depth. The Vornskr is also capable of angling its sensitive ears in the direction of even faint sounds without having to reorient its head. In addition, Vornskrs possess the ability to sense the Force in sentients and other animals such as the Ysalamir. They're primarily nocturnal, and may have developed their Force detection ability while searching for prey within the darkness of Chamble V's dense forests. They typically subdue their prey with their venomous whip like tails before tearing it apart with their teeth or large claws.

Due to the long history between the Jedi and Sith, the Vornskr have become utilized across the galaxy in large numbers. Initially used as guard animals, they have become an ideal weapon for those not fortunate enough to be force sensitive. This special trait of theirs makes the Vornskr a valuable creature and quite useful for both defensive measures or reconnaissance missions.
