Planet: Tirahnn
Table of Contents [hide]

Tirahnn is an important centre of commerce and trade within the Zeemacht cluster, and has historically been publicized throughout the intergalactic community as the planet with the largest markets and bazaars, some of which have been known to be the size of states on other worlds. It has a well-developed, cosmopolitan society that is home to a wide array of sentients from across the galaxy, with Humans forming the majority of the planetary population, followed by various minorities such as the Neimoidians, Twi'leks, and Duros.

While Tirahnn has a temperate and pleasant climate for most sentients, the planet's surface largely consists of dry, sandy plains, rocky lands, and expansive polar caps, where tall walls of ice and magnificent glaciers dominate the landscape. The world's oceans are largely located around the planetary equator and the southern hemisphere, and have given rise to several wetlands along their coastlines. The southern hemisphere is also where most of the globe's vegetation grows and is home to verdant woodlands teeming with forest wildlife, such as the akk dogs and various indigenous ursine and avian species.

The world of Tirahnn has been home to a bustling commercial oligarchy ruled by merchant princes for millennia and was originally settled by wealthy traders and mercantile noble houses from the Core Worlds. Over the eons, their cities and centres of commerce spread across the globe, becoming an important stop along the Perlemian Trade Route. As a result, the wealthy merchant princes host an annual Great Fair that attracts vast numbers of tourists and visitors from across the galaxy, eager to move massive amounts of credits and goods both to and from Tirahnn.
