Planet: Polordio VI
Table of Contents [hide]

While most of Polordio VI's surface consists of a frozen icy wasteland that few would dare traverse, one expanse of high volcanic activity has allowed for a pocket of vibrancy and greenness to arise in the form of a large jungle in the planet's southern hemisphere. Various species of insects, reptilians, marsupials, and other mammalian critters roam the tall dark trees or scurry between the thick foliage that covers most of the ground in this wondrous pocket of life.

Yet the jungles of Polordio VI hide a dark secret, as a symbiotic form of fungus unique to the planet's ecosystem lives on many of the trees that make up this tropical expanse. Those that consume the fungus experience strong hallucinogenic effects, and find themselves quickly yearning for more of the substance. Once news of this fungus reached the ears of the criminal underworld, its leaders sought to capitalise on the newly discovered hallucinogen that would become known as Polordion smootdust. Vast areas of the jungles were cut down by these criminal organisations, until the citizens of Polordio II banded together in an effort to drive away the crime lords from their system and protect what was left of Polordio VI's singular biome.

Until this day, the planetary authorities of Polordio II continue to safeguard the environmental integrity of the jungles of Polordio VI and punish harshly any who would attempt to extract the fungus necessary for the production of Polordion smootdust. Small settlements have arisen around the more livable areas of the frozen wastelands, as their citizens keep a watchful eye on the tall, dark jungle trees looming on their horizon.
