Crisscrossed by rivers and with a great deal covered by forest, Gallinore is considered by some to be a paradise, although the only ones to experience it are the Hapan Marines garrisoned at the base there. Feared by the natives and confounding to scientists, there exists a desert in the center of the body of water encircling the center of the planet, and a quite substantial one at that.

The desert is believed to be completely devoid of life despite being surrounded by ocean on all sides to do the low mineral content of the soil and coupled with the fact that nutrients deposited by the ocean are soon swept away by the ocean itself, it is little more than a place of superstition.

The large Trokn`et mountain range encircles the northern pole of the planet, and actually has a slight effect on the orbit of Gallinore, shifting its path by several degrees once per rotation; though its alternating orbit means that it corrects itself every second rotation.
