Planet: Nal Yeshu
Table of Contents [hide]

Nal Yeshu, nestled within the Y'Toub system of Hutt Space, unveils a world of temperate allure and vast continental expanses. Its sprawling landmass stretches across the planet's heart, flanked by two majestic oceans that guard the icy realms of the north and south poles. Once a realm of boundless grassy plains, expansive forestlands, and untamed jungles, the passage of time has witnessed Nal Yeshu succumb to an inexorable metamorphosis—an urbanisation process spanning countless millennia, ensconcing the land beneath an imposing tapestry of cityscapes.

Throughout its tumultuous history, the planet became entangled in the tendrils of the Hutts, conquerors of Nal Yeshu after establishing their adopted homeworld of Nal Hutta over fifteen thousand years ago. Their insatiable greed and criminal ambitions marred the once vibrant planet, transforming it into a polluted and impoverished world, even amidst the fervour of urban development. During the epoch of the Great Galactic War, when Vitiate's Sith Empire clashed with the Galactic Republic, Nal Yeshu concealed a clandestine listening post, shrouded in secrecy. Local pirates, in the employ of the Republic, launched a daring assault, severing all communication with the Sith and altering the course of history. The annals of Nal Yeshu's chronicle were further etched by the strokes of the Clone Wars. The disenchantment and yearning for emancipation among the planet's inhabitants brewed, igniting sporadic insurgencies that were swiftly quelled by Hutt mercenaries. However, a glimmer of hope emerged in recent decades with the arrival of Mandalore, heralding a new dawn for the populace. The Mandalorians, a stalwart group of warriors, lent their strength to the citizens, spurring them on to overthrow the oppressive grip of the Hutts. As the influence of the Mandalorians spread across the planet, the rule of law was reinstated, birthing a harmonious society that fervently endeavoured to reclaim the lost grandeur and restore the ravaged environment.

Once tarnished and enshrouded in decay, the rejuvenated Nal Yeshu now stands as a testament to resilience and renaissance. Majestic cities, reminiscent of other city worlds in the Mid and Outer Rim, have emerged from the vestiges of desolation, casting a newfound splendour across the planet's landscape. Yet, this revitalisation has not come without consequence. Nal Yeshu's audacious liberation has become a thorn in the side of the Hutts and their criminal empires, for the planet lies nestled within the very heart of Hutt territory. The population of Nal Yeshu embodies the vibrant tapestry of diversity. Liberated slaves and indentured servants, hailing from races as varied as Twi'leks, Rodians, Toydarians, and Nimbanels, now call this vibrant world their home. The sight of Hutts on Nal Yeshu has become a rarity, while Humans form a substantial portion of the demographic. Even though the presence of the Mandalorians resulted in the formation of a respectable and upstanding planetary government, echoes of Nal Yeshu's dark past reverberate as well. Veiled in secrecy, groups of Sith cultists, drawn by the allure of ancient darkness, utilise their vast wealth and influence to procure relics and artefacts tied to the ancient followers of the Dark Side.
