Filordis II is believed to be home to the ancient Lephorian race of which there is virtually no trace, with the exception of a few ancient manuscripts. From what was recorded, xeno-anthropologists have gathered that the Lephorians were a pre-spacefaring race who annihilated themselves in a planetary war; leaving little trace of their civilization. What little remained was later taken by explorers, raiders, and scavengers.
The planet itself is a desolate wasteland of rock with a crater-marked surface. Filordis II's atmosphere has long since evaporated into space and it left behind a freezing world. The planet's rocks and craters, however, are only distractions for the potential that it holds. Some could look at Filordis II as a diamond in the rough; the possibilities can go on as far as sentients are willing to take them. It is not only a potentially lucrative mining planet but has been suggested for other civilian development projects, including tourism driven by its tragic history.
