Sevarcos IX has a long history of drawing ships out of hyperspace unexpectedly as they passed through the area. As far as gas giants go, the planet is relatively stable, experiencing only occasional electrical storms. Its powerful gravity well brings in many drifting stellar bodies, causing asteroid impacts on its surface that tear rifts through the surface of its gaseous body, creating brilliant swirls of color as they are gradually compacted until they finally become a part of the core of Sevarcos IX.
