Planet Deysum was once a lavish forest planet with immense biological diversity. Those times are now forgotten, as a climatic cataclysm fell upon the planet a millennium ago. The planet was hit by an asteroid, pushing it farther away from the sun. The forests and jungles froze, and the thriving mountains became deserted. A cold wind became the predominant force on the planet and now sweeps anything that crosses its path. But, a single oasis of life managed to survive in this cold desert. Protected by flanking mountains from the cold wind and heated by the warmth of the planetary core coming from a neighboring cave, a forest, remnant of the old paradise, once stood alone and secluded from the rest of the planet and the galaxy itself.
