Thoadeye II is a world wishing to be something more. Though massive enough, and with the right materials contained within its mass, Thoadeye II could almost be a star, except that it never quite achieved that mysterious ignition condition to trigger such a transformation. Instead of making the Thoadeye system the only binary star system in the Koro-Teta sector, it remains a gas giant with above-average core temperature. Its surface boils slowly beneath thousands of kilometers of turbulent atmosphere while the giant closely orbits what might have been its twin star. Due to these conditions, extensive radiation shielding is an additional need of the more conventionally designed floating cloud cities and few settlers have tried to make their homes on this untouched world. Regularly lashed by massive doses of radiation from the nearby sun, Thoadeye II's communications are often disrupted during the more active cycles of solar flares.
