Harpori is a cold, featureless planet in the Harpori system. Being far away from the system primary, it gets little light and heat, but it is warmed up by the heat from its few volcanoes, allowing some basic lifeforms to reside on the warmer parts of the surface. Most of the planet's surface consists of rock terrain, except for a few craters, a testimony that the planet has fallen victim to interstellar debris. On top of these mountain-sized rocks, the morning lights are often visible at sunrise. The lights scatter across the sky like an electronic storm; this often leaves the viewer thinking that they have gone through a spiritual experience.

While Harpori's original settlers were tourists who decided to remain there, recently many colonists have flocked to the planet to build mining colonies after the discovery of large mineral and ore deposits on the surface. At first, the colonies were limited to the areas around the volcanoes, the warmest parts of the planet, but as more colonists arrived these cities expanded to cover almost the entire surface, making it one of the most heavily populated planets in the region.
