Despite the beauty of the planet, there is one major problem. There is a vast number of volcanoes that plague the local species along with any sentient species that set-up colonies on this planet. These volcanoes erupt on an irregular basis and are unpredictable. Every now and then, one has awoken and engulfed the surrounding areas in ash and soot. These eruptions seem to pose no threat to local animals as they do not panic whenever the ground shakes. Several avian nests have been seen near these volcanoes and not even the birds of Stensen's Colony flee when their nest seems to spit fire and brimstone.

Stensen's Colony is an obvious colony choice. Even with the ever-present threat of volcanoes, it is hard to imagine a more suitable location for a city. Stensen's Colony serves as a major center of trade within the system. Income also comes from the millions of nature lovers who visit the planet each year. Brochures describe the planet as a paradise, although many should simply say it is more of an amazement to be enjoyed by all those willing to risk the volcanoes.
