Matacorn is a temperate/breathable atmosphere, with a wide range of climates, and well suited to providing a home to a colony.

While hosting a sprawling megalopolis, Matacorn is also home to a wide variety of plant and animal life. This world is a game hunter's paradise as it is home to many wild animals which can be used as sources of meat, clothing, as well as hunting trophies. One of these animals, the carnivorous ketrann, is known throughout the galaxy as a particularly vicious predator. The ketrann has razor-sharp fangs which are 15 cm. long. One bite from a ketrann could easily sever the limb of an unsuspecting hunter or hiker. Thankfully, ketrann herds are limited to the two jungle areas of the planet and thus pose no real threat to anyone in the unforested areas of Matacorn.
