The Bespin System located in the Javin sector consists of 3 planets, 2 moons and 8 asteroids. The planets are mostly uninhabitable, with the exception of two planets, as well as a gas giant. The system has one large asteroid field, Velser’s Ring, named after Richard Velser, the explorer who discovered the Bespin system.
The system was discovered when Velser accidentally jumped into it. He had actually planned to visit the Hoth system, but his droid had malfunctioned due to the extreme cold on his last visit, thus sending him to nearby Bespin. Here, he explored many of the planets, briefly scouting out all but Anarvorn. He then returned to Miser, where he went though the large cave systems. He spent several months exploring that planet before returning to space and heading to Orin. Before leaving he sent out a final message, as well as sending out his data, and it is believed the he perished while exploring Orin.
The system itself is located in the outer part of the galaxy, almost near New Anzat Space. It is currently governed by a mining group, which owns cities on Bespin itself. This is obviously to mine for Tibanna gas which spins naturally on Bespin thus allowing it to be produced cheaply into blasters. Unfortunately, this is the only gas giant in the system. The other planets lack any consistency however all planets tend to have large amounts of volcanoes except of course the Gas Giant as well as Miser.
