The system is home to four planets that host breathable atmospheres. The planet also has three that do not with one of them being a gas giant. None of the planets in the system have any moons and there are no existing space stations, either orbital or stationary.
The system lies along a very important trading route. The Corelian Run trade route runs directly through the Nubian System. The Corelian Run spans the galaxy and was littered with numerous repair stations and outposts. At one time Nubia was one of these repair stations but has since suffered a severe recession which has dropped stopover traffic in the system to a minimum. At the time that it was a maintenance port the planet offered some of the best hyperdrive cores in the galaxy as well as an exclusive production facility with Industrial Automation for the R5 astromech unit. Industrial Automation moved its facility to a more productive and cost effective location and this is believed to have begun the great recession for the Nubian system. This recession is believed to believe a transient one and that once it passes the system will once again thrive with the traffic of the trade route. The trade route is and ancient one and has different names at different time periods and in different sectors of the galaxy, including the Corellian Run and the Corellian Spine Trade Route. On its way coreward the Corellian Run merges with the Corellian Trade Spine when it reaches the Corellian System.
The system is also home to many unique creatures, some of which have earned their name in the galaxy. The Armadid is an immense, reptilian predator and is feared throughout the galaxy. Resembling an elongated, armored bull, the Armadid was a vicious beast whose tail ended in a huge claw. Its toothy maw was protected by a pair of long, curving tusks, and each of its four legs ended in a huge, three-talon foot. This beast is quite often sought after to fight in large arenas with other various beasts for the sport of others. The Armadid is become more and more rare through years of sport hunting and capture and also through the hunting of the inhabitants of the planet. Many of the people who live on the planet view the creature as a threat to their safety and desire its extermination.
Even with the interesting species that are sought by many, there remains little traffic into the system. One of the suspected reasons is that there are two planets in the system that cause travel into the system to be very dangerous. The gas giant Durmir throws off varying gravity wells that cause hyperspace travel to be very tricky if not impossible. The planet Celdaur gives off unique magnetic fields that have been to known cause miscalculations or a complete lack of functionality I navigational equipment.
