Kushiban

Kushibans are a race of small, four-limbed, sentient lagomorphs, recognizable by their large, soft ears that they are able to control to indicate their mood. They are covered in a thick, soft coat that is white when they are relaxed, but can shift in color to reflect their mood or to enable them to camouflage with their environment. Because of this ability, their coat is commonly referred to as "mood fur." Despite their appearance, their vocal cords are capable of normal speech, although they commonly speak in a raspy, scratchy, or purring tone.

Due to their diminutive size and nimbleness, Kushibans can be difficult to target or even to locate. Some of them prefer to use their cuddly and innocent appearance to imitate harmless wildlife as a defense mechanism, or even to pretend to be pets of other sentient beings if it serves their purposes.

Despite being quadrupeds, Kushibans can use their forepaws much like hands to open doors and manipulate objects. They are capable of walking on their hindlegs, but they usually prefer the speed and efficiency of moving on all fours. They are peaceful and curious herbivores that prefer to avoid direct confrontation. On their homeworld, they live in harmony with nature, and many have a strong connection to the Force.
