The Cyborg Skill Card is the newest development in the field of Cybernetics. In fact, its current state of development was only discovered when the information was recently leaked after unknown hackers broke into corporate messaging servers and stole inter-departmental correspondence between technicians and engineers currently working on the project.

From the information released, it appears that the skill card will permit users to upload data into an implanted artificial device to permit added functionality of the implant. Because of the new data protocols and unique application of technologies in this item, the potential for this card is unclear. It is possible that it will have the same impact on cybernetics as the data card has on manufacturing.

It is presumed that the type of skill upgrade available in a card will need to be compatible to the implanted device. A card that allows thermal imaging is useless, for example, to a sentient with a prosthetic hand, while quite beneficial to an individual with optical implants.

It is important to note that until the final production units become available, all of the information gathered to this point may not be completely reliable. When the final product is released it may not behave exactly as is currently supposed.
