Crimson Syndicate HQ, Hiigara North -- Earlier this week, the Crimson Syndicate became solely independent after James Ices, the leader of the The Industry exchange and Spiri Solon, leader of Galactic Weapon Systems violated their contract. The contract was very elaborate, allowing for the circumventing of the restrictions placed on Crimson Syndicate by the New Republic. James Ices, agreed to get several datacards for Crimson Syndicate, such as Bulk Freighters, at no penalty.
A comprehensive contract, that was signed in the greatest secrecy between Spiri Solon, James Ices, Kairi Deveraux and Jasper Merlyn, was forged briefly before the founding of the Crimson Syndicate. James Ices led the negotiations for his series of factions, such as Galactic Weapon Systems, and Jasper Merlyn led the discussion for Crimson Syndicate. After extensive organizing and debating, Jasper and James came to an agreement. Spiri and Kairi agreed with the contract as well once it was official. A few months later Spiri Solon got irritated that the contract was not working in his favor and said that the clause in which James Ices agreed to pay salaries for Crimson Syndicate was void.
Jasper Merlyn immediately wrote up another contract for the group, containing the pertinent details such as using Alissma, Galactic Weapon Systems and ‘The Industry Exchange’ for their out of faction needs. GWS was still the main manufacturer for Crimson Syndicate’s weapons of war against the New Republic. Alissma was the main supplier for Raw Materials for the settlements that Crimson Syndicate established on New Republic territories as rendezvous points. These key parts allowed Jasper Merlyn to focus his attention on the New Republic as opposed to establishing connections to fund the war. However, when the new contract was written after James Ices and Spiri Solon violated the previous one, James Ices refused to show up. He however, was prominent in ensuring that Crimson Syndicate assisted with sending labourers to assist his factions, and provide intelligence. With the lack of effort James added into the renegotiation of the contract he broke, Jasper Merlyn and Kairi Merlyn made a deal for the shares of stock he possessed.
We were able to catch up with Jasper for a quick word on the negotiations and all he had to say was this. “It is disappointing to see such a flourishing diplomatic relationship go down the drain. It was a disaster from day one and we tried to make it work. With the continuous threats of selling our members to Crueya Vandron of the Resistance if we made them unhappy, backing out and refusing to pay salaries as was originally agreed, and neglecting the other various parts of the contract, I am glad we are finally liberated from them. They were just warmongers who were hoping to profit off the war with the New Republic. I opted for this press release so others do not fall victim to their manipulative techniques and poor business practices putting them in a position as well.”
