HYPORI, FERRA - On Year 21 Day 16, The Empire dealt a heavy blow to the rebellion with the fall of the New Republic. An event that caused the mass exodus of officers of the former New Republic and soul searching amongst the Galactic Alliance. With overwhelming odds stacked against the rebellion, one thing is certain, the Hyporian Commonwealth along with its allies the Galactic Alliance will never surrender to the Galactic Empire and its Imperial Union allies.

Immediately, following the announcement from the Galactic Empire, the Hyporian’s Aegis fleet was deployed to various former worlds of the New Republic to help with the evacuation efforts. Reports of various small skirmishes against Imperial Union forces have trickled through as Aegis and civilian forces run the blockades put in place to subjugate the various worlds under IU control.

Solarius Masha, Prelate of the Commonwealth gave a small speech following an emergency meeting of the Hierarchy Council: "Today the galaxy has awoken to a vastly different reality compared to the past decade. Through the traitorous actions of Galen Darksol, who willingly betrayed and turned his back on the family who came to accept him as one of their own, the Empire has claimed victory in the Galactic Civil War. In reality, though the war will never end for as long as hope still burns in our hearts. The Commonwealth recently led the charge towards liberating various worlds in Corellia, one of the main hubs of the Empire from under them, an action we will be sure to commit again to free even more worlds from the Empire and offer them a chance to build their own government free from the tyrannical Imperial Union.

Aegis forces have been deployed to various worlds to provide assistance and help our allies to the fullest extent of our abilities. We, the Commonwealth, are determined to fight this war to its very bitter end. Freedom is worth every credit spent, every drop of blood spilled. The fight we engage in is not for ourselves but rather for the future of the galaxy. The Empire may end up ruling our homes, but they will never rule our hearts.

To our allies in the Galactic Alliance, this is the time to shake off complacency, to bond with your fellow brothers and sisters. The end times are near and we must begin to alight the galaxy so bright that our names and memories of the actions we now solemnly undertake shall be forever etched onto the minds of future generations. Until we have achieved freedom, or with our deaths, the Imperial Union shall know the meaning of retribution and pain they have caused to countless millions.

With the speech concluded by the Prelate, the resolve and morale of the Commonwealth and its allies in the Galactic Alliance bolstered, the Aegis Fleet begins its preparations for the conflict ahead. As the last twilight falls, many know that this may be their last fight. The hour has turned undoubtedly dark, but the fire remains hot to usher the galaxy unto a new era.
