A Special Broadcast from Arkanian Holonet News delivering a Message from VaLi Owa, Chancellor of the Arkanian Brotherhood and the current Secretary General of the Galactic Alliance.

 

An image beings to coalesce on the screen, with the form of a podium emblazoned with the logo of the Arkanian Brotherhood appearing in the center. After a brief delay, a silhouette of something draws closer, eventually revealing itself to be Chancellor Va`Li Owa of the Arkanian Brotherhood. There is a moment of uncomfortable silence followed by screeching feedback as VaLi adjusts the microphone.

 

Taking his long green fingers, VaLi wipes his face and fully composes himself.

 

"Hello sentients of the galaxy. Three days ago, we woke up to a new universe. The once great bastion of freedom in the galaxy, known as the New Republic, has fallen. This wasnít in some glorious field of battle, where men and women laid down their lives for a cause. No. No, this was carried out by traitors, sell-outs, and apostates. Done by people that only think of themselves, and nothing else. They saw an opportunity to sell out the galaxy, for a little bit of fame and even less fortune. Actions that have left the galaxy in tatters, and broken. Yes, some people will continue to go about their business and let the galactic government dictate their every thought, move, and action. They will conform to the economic and outright slavery of the Galactic Empire."

 

 

Vali looks around with a steeled determination on his face, and loudly proclaims "But we will endure!"

 

"We will endure because we think of more than ourselves. No longer do we have the luxury of letting someone else fight for our rights, while we sit on the outer edges of the galaxy tending our factories, mines and shipyards. We will stand up and declare No!, to a dictatorship who cares only for the core worlds and large governments that tend to the Emperorís needs."

 

"The Arkanian Brotherhood stands for peace and prosperity for all, not a select few. We will continue to fight on behalf of all sentients. Sentients that deserve the chance to choose their own path. Whether that path is a small group of transport pilots trying to unionize, or a large government rising from the ashes of smaller groups, we will protect that path."

 

"These are trying times, and they can wear even the best of us down. But we will endure. We aren't asking for you to jump up and raise arms against the ideals of the Galactic Empire, but we are asking you to stand up for your fellow sentients. Let your conscience be your voice, and let your voice be known. And let that voice proudly and defiantly declare, We will endure!"
