Sedri III is located in the Sedri System of Tharin Sector. It is cold and has no atmosphere whatsoever. When surveyors from the Old Republic first discovered it, they thought and listed as a moon, but many years later they realized their mistake and gave the planet a name of its own. People think that a few million years ago, this planet was a temperate planet just like a lot of others. It had oceans and mountains. But over time the atmosphere of the planet gave way and dissolved. Any water on the planet froze and then shattered, breaking off into space. This could be one of many reasons why there are only rocks and craters on the planet.

There are remains of fossilized mammals and other things in the rock of this now barren world. One may even guess that a race of beings even once inhabited this planet. The craters on the surface give evidence of impacts on the planet at one time; carbon dating shows them to be at least two hundred thousand years old.
