Blessed with being a source of one of the galaxies rarest materials and cursed by the fact that it is a substance which virtually no one uses, Sevarcos XII is a violent world that would have been completely ignored if not for the investment by a small company that, once begun, had to be seen through. With a core comprised of a material first called Extilm by those who discovered it, the planet is remarkably dense for a world of its size.

Extilm is mined exclusively by a small local mining cooperative for a narrow range of purposes, chiefly for high grade fighter-craft armor. Harvested using a series of deep-core drilling platforms, the mining cooperative is the only operation with the equipment on hand to conduct this kind of mining. Towering above the planet's center and beleaguered by its thousand kilometer per hour winds, the main complex flexes and bows under the force of the giant's wrath but its polymorphic skin converts portions of the that energy to usable power to reinforce the gravity fields that maintain its integrity. Delving deep into the core, the main shafts reaching kilometers from end to end, with nearly six hundred sentients working under grueling conditions. The installations take almost four years to build and the mining cooperative subcontracts much of the work to several larger local companies. The logistics involved in the construction are still state of the art, despite being developed specifically for a different mining company almost a century prior.
