Planet: Casna Aure
Table of Contents [hide]

Cansa Aure was undeveloped for most of its history as the secretive Kaminoans decided to forgo colonization and exploration of their system in order to preserve their privacy. During the Clone Wars, the system became a heavily fortified stronghold for the Republic, becoming home to hundreds of thousands of soldiers, scientists, and support staff. After the war, the notoriety of the system and the unspoiled nature of the system's two gas giants made it a natural destination for prospectors, veterans, and refugees alike. These immigrants began the construction of numerous floating city platforms, often cannibalising the ships they arrived in for materials and parts to build them with.

Cansa Aure's orbit keeps the planet within a habitable zone, comfortable for most sentient species. The temperate climate allows the residents of the massive, floating cities to farm and participate in most industries found on terrestrial worlds. While it is not the largest of the system's planets, Cansa Aure is the most populous by far, dwarfing its sister planets with a population nearing a trillion denizens of all walks of life. The relatively friendly climate, at least for a gas giant, is only part of the reason immigrants continue to flock to the planet.

The planet's current government is particularly savvy at generating income and spurring economic growth. Due to favourable incentives, tax breaks, and loan repayment periods, business activities of all kinds thrive on the planet. People here pride themselves on their entrepreneurial spirit and making a deal is almost a right of passage among the members of the population.
