Planet: Lorora
Table of Contents [hide]

Similar to the other habitable planets in the Chandrila System, Lorora is a world characterized by wide oceans and pleasant climates. Following behind its sister world Chandrila on the same orbital path, Lorora has led a much more violently active existence. Volcanoes dot the surface, many seemingly set on creating new land by almost constantly sending flows of lava sizzling into the ocean. Equally scattered across the face of Lorora are a large series of interconnected cavern networks. Many of these caverns were created when volcanic activity in an area suddenly subsided and left pockets and tunnels empty of magma. Narrow archipelagoes wind across the surface of Lorora, forming massive breakwaters against the immense tides generated by the rapid rotation of Lorora itself and the effects of trailing in the gravity well of Chandrila. For most of the history of Lorora it has been the smaller, less important cousin of Chandrila. Aside from a healthy fishing industry, the biggest draw this planet has held for sentients is as a place to "get away from it all." Many of the Bormea Sector elite have a weekend getaway spot along the coasts of Lorora and most of these are mansions in their own right with personal shuttle pads for in-system traffic on almost every property. Some of the most impressive residences perch atop tall cliffs or overlook active lava fields and ocean, the distant roar of the surf acting as a lullaby for the ultra-wealthy and powerful.
