I purchased a facility about two months ago; it was not finished being built at the time I purchased it, but it finished construction about a week before that month's facility income script ran (the last one before the problems). I received no income from that facility, but figured that a facility might not be able to give income in its first month, so thought nothing of it.
However, I received no income from this facility in either of the last facility income cycles. It isn't listed on the detailed facility income transaction sheet. I am currently the owner, manager, and operator of this facility.
Am I missing something that needs to be done in order to get income from this facility?
In order for a facility to provide an income/loss there are a few conditions:
* The facility?s Crewlist has to be set to open to all
* The facility must have an operator and that operator must be active, ie: logged in within the past week, and not banned. There is no limit on the number of facilities you may operate and no requirement to be at the same location as the facility
* The facility must have a manager, if they are a player they must be active. Note that some facilities require that the Manager be a faction of a certain type (see Section 4)
* The facility must be powered
I'm guessing you either have the crewlist restricted, or that it requires a specific faction to be the operator.
Ugh, guess I should read the rules more carefully next time; it was the crewlist thing. Would be nice if there was a message "Facility x generated no income this month; potential customers were unable to access the building."
Such a message would be quite annoying, Peter, for those of us who have facilities deliberately closed for one reason or another.
It might be nice if income-capable facilities defaulted to open to all upon construction, though. You could probably make a suggestion out of that idea, or something similar.
