is it possible to add/remove ship modules? like add extra tractorbeams and stuff? if so where can i get them?
also wat does a lock breaker do? will it let me break into facilities or ships?

No, You cant. the Lock Breaker does Nothing. Eventually once Combat comes maybe. And you can get upgrades to your ship for stats but not like adding tractor beams yet.

Ship modifications are no longer available, and are currently planned for release about the same time as R&D.

On the lockbreaker, it will indeed let you break into locked entities, in the future.
Alas, virtually no items have function at this time.
