I am currently gathering all of my NPCs and some of them i have purchased. However, a few of them are inside some taverns and hotels and it won't show me where they are. This makes it slightly difficult for me to pick them up since there are no coordinates for me to go to. Could you fix this problem? I would feel much better if i were able to know where my personnel are at.
This may also be the case for materials...I don't know
If you don't own the location the NPCs are in, then you can't view where it is. This allows them to be arrested and held, without you simply being able to look in your inventory and seeing where they are.
It used to be that you could only ever see a room ID, which was a pain in the ass because you can't see a room ID unless you're in it, and hunting around all your ships/vehicles/facilities for an NPC was no fun at all. If they were even in one of yours at all!
Be glad for what you have.

*puts NPC outside* I can see exactly where the bugger is, even if I'm on the other side of the galaxy.
*puts a roof over the fool's head* Suddenly the location is a complete mystery.
You're venturing into realms of programming limitations, I think. The game is generally designed (from my understanding) to look only at the first container level. So if it's in a facility, the game only sees the facility. You'd have to run another query to find out where that facility is, and then another query to find out where the city is. Same with ships and vehicles. Of course, if a NPC is in a ship or vehicle it probably doesn't have any idea where it is. It might be reasonable to automatically show the full location for facilities only, since it does seem to make sense for the NPC to know what planet they're on.
Have to hear programmer input on it, though, as to what works and what doesn't.
