If onboard a ship, should I be able to share sensors with a satellite owned by someone else/another faction? Or does the satellite have to belong to my faction in order to share the sensors?

Well, I am freelance and I seem to be able to share sensors with other freelance members and faction satellites. Bug report?

If you can share sensors with satellites owned by all PCs and factions, then yes. Otherwise, it's possible that someone has set their default IFF to "friendly", allowing you to use their satellites.
