Or as unique as the nebulon-b medical conversions, which also have datacards. :) In canon there was one finished SSD in 'our' time, with another underway. Kindly destroy the other SSDs if you want to cling to your canon explanation. -How come there is only 1 home one and infinite numbers of SSDs available? No logical reason for that. Someone a long time ago decided this, and then it was done. -Is that in someway balanced (in some unforeseen way)? If the way is unforeseen then there's no way to answer this... But assuming there isn't some hidden meaning, no, of course it's not balanced.

Ralgarrch	Modification is going to be dealt with seperately to R+D, and I expect it will be limited to the point that it would not actually allow you to modify some stock version of the MC80 into anything comparable to a Home One. ____________

Christopher Eagles	lol give GE a DC to the Death Star, if were here in 30 years when they finish it, good on them :D Even if Modification was dealt with separately Home One was not Unique in its Modifications, It had a Sister ship Liberty which A common variant of the MC80 Star Cruiser line was examplified by the cruiser Liberty. It had an array of nine engines, divided into three different sizes, located at the stern. A large wing-shaped superstructure was affixed to the main hull on either side, containing weapons pods and tractor beam arrays. - The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels The only problem with MC80 Star Cruisers is that there stats would need to have had a random Variance, in their makeup so that each one is unique (They were all 'individually unique'...) (Random Variances in length from 1200m-1400m with random variable weapons systems between 20-50 and the same with Tractors 4-8. (Or No weapons for a Standard Model) This kind of vessel would of proved a good new entity since you would almost never have the same ship... Of Course the RM Values would need to of been changed per ship, but still the possibility was there for a new feature that would in a way be good in its self... I just though there was a possibility for such a ship since it wouldn't take much coding to give the ability for recognizable Flagships, like Liberty and Home One, that are recognized for things like... With that weapons complement its got to be... or That length, its got to be the... instead of generic ship stats, which modification would of changed anyway, but with a variable length and Sublight speeds it would be interesting... Plus Rebels did make multiple Home One like ships, Like most Mon Calamari designs, each vessel was individually unique, which caused headaches for Rebel technicians. As with other Calamari designs during the Galactic Civil War, all warships in this group were standardized as much as possible to aid non-Calamari crewmembers, something the artistic Mon Calamari accepted begrudgingly. - Rebel Alliance Sourcebook and The Mon Calamari contributed an unspecified number of these ships to the Rebel Alliance during the galactic civil war. meaning at least possibly more were given to the Rebels... Which at the very least should bode well for its inclusion? will R&D allow research of entirely new ships or just upgrades of old ones though? That I guess is the big question, since then it would be possible further down the line.
