So is there a rules page for the death matches that I have done a poor job of searching for?

Death matches on a tournament level must be turned on or off on your profile. but as the name implys if you are chosen do you actually die if you loose?

As Ten says there is no actual change DB-wise in your character for participating and winning/loosing. Its just a bit of fun.

I did not think there would be actual death, but wanted to make sure as there is that option in your profile to participate.

You can't send a request to be in the main deathmatch, it's a random choice from all players that opted in. You can opt in or out via your account settings, it's in the first section.

You can submit a grudge match via the grudge signup link on the deathmatch page.

This is only a small point but as Deathmatches are In Character and not a Sim issue,,, i think postings for this should go into GNS news as Social News.
Unless we could have a Sport news channel and see Shockball results as well.

Deathmatch news should NOT appear in Sim news. Unless there is a server/game problem.

The main point being that Deathmatches are NOT Sim issues.
Deathmatches are more like Shockball events...sorta

They don't belong in the GNS. Admins and staff without characters can be selected for the tournaments, and the grudge matches are 100% OOC. The Sim News isn't just for sim "issues" -- that's why there are different categories, like community news and technical news and such, that get selected when a post is made.
