(Random# in between min & max damages)(Repair Facilities+1) = Damage dealt to
(Random# in between min & max damages) - Range from blast * 10 = Damage to people
So basically a theoretical grenade with 15-25 damage, would maim, but not kill a noob on a direct hit...but completely demolish a Hotel or any 1X3 and some 3x3's
or a theoretical hi-yield charge with 30-40 damage wouldn't kill someone level 5 but annihilate everything 3x3, smaller and a few larger ones.
?
btw, heavy blasters and medium blasters give the same damage spread.
I wouldn't take any of the combat equations as gospel. As attacks against entities etc and implemented, its likely any equations seen now will be changed. Stick with a more comparative review between weapons rather than the pure damage they do.
Could I hope for blasters being "normal" and lasers+ being armor piercing being able to damage hulls, blaster having a 10% reduction to armor. that's basically how it is in the movies, Blasters blow small chunks out of the walls or scorch marks.
