Sometimes there are public offerings of shares announced on the GNS. The one today says "market capital has been reevaluated from 51,037,478 to 63,954,310 credits."
Why do shares increase in market value when there is a public offering? And how is that increase calculated? Thanks.
Shares don't automatically increase in value when they're distributed, the faction just increased in value since it was created or its shares were first released.
Thanks for that explanation. I had searched using the word "shares" and missed that rule page.
For factions that are not Religious, Smuggler, Mercenary, Pirate or Bounty Hunter, is there a limit or rule about how many shares the initial public offering can have?
