People with enthusiasm want to answer questions. People with knowledge are qualified to answer questions. People with enthusiasm and knowledge are the ones who answer questions correctly, but as anyone familiar with Venn diagrams will have realised by now, a rather small section of the population.
It's sometimes (but not always) better that a question be partially answered by someone with enthusiasm, and later expanded upon by someone with knowledge, than for it not to be answered at all.
Which is not to say that people should just go around guessing, because that causes confusion.

I do tend to be a bit enthusiastic about answering questions, admitting-ly. I've been trying to refrain from answering thins I don't know about lately, so I'll have to bear that in mind a bit more.
