Archives » Does a shielded planet lower the chances of prospecting?
I just finished prospecting a planet and I found a node about 1:3 ratio or so. I'm on a new planet now, it's shielded, but after 20 different areas, not 1 thing found. Common?

"Does a shielded planet lower the chances of prospecting?"

Not even a little bit.

Me installing a shield on a planet in no way affects the natural geological formations, ehich came well before the invention of shields. So as Ten said, no.

I had my moon retrospected recently and found 3 more deposits, so it might increase the odds since I had the shields active for years =P

I think the galaxy move affected deposits that could be found. Slabs with no deposits, when reprospected, seemed to turn up new deposits. Or is that my imagine?

Thanks for the replies, I'll just write it off as bad luck.
