I always liked the idea of having a NPC copilot on my ship, so for example when other players come onboard they could have a short dialogue with him, which would add immersion to the game and make my ship more individual.
Now it says about custom NPCs on the rules page:
"NPCs whose scripts, images etc can be defined by their owner "
Could you give me a a bit more detailed explenation on how this exactly works and how it is possible to write a small dialogue for the NPC with multiple choice answering possibilites for the PC?
What script language is used, is it easy to learn (to this extend that I could make such a dialogue), is there perhaps a tutorial or something like that?
I would really hate it to summon such a NPC for 200k credits only to have to realize that I have no clue how to "program" him.
It is just a simple display that will do it with drop down menus and radio buttons I think. You basicly program them to interact much like normal npcs do just with you write the script and can change it at will. Hope that helps.
