Many items don't appear to have any hull, electronics, engine, or weapons. Will items be part of R&D?

While R&D is essentially at the stage of the ASIMs are thinking about possibly getting around to tabling a motion to start considering the concept of beginning to ponder what the general picture of R&D will be...

I think it's safe to say they plan to have Items be R&Dable.

Going off the general correlation between RM types and functions in ships (e.g. Tibannagas = Lasers, Hull = Meleenium & Quantum, etc.) I imagine that the R&D skills will be applicable in similar manners. Maybe not "engine" exactly (though it's certainly true that many items/weapons/etc. require mechanical parts, which I'd toss into the "engine" category as opposed to electronics), but Hull would be analogous to Armour, Electronics is already in many items.... etc.

All entities will have similar relations.

R&D will exist for every entityType, and you'll use the same 4 or whatever skills for each.
