I would like to ask some help from the fellow pilots in the Galaxy.
I like to create a table with the exact travel times.
The Nav Comp and the actual travel time is different as I saw.

So, I like to know how much seconds does it take to go from one point to another with different Skills and different hyperspeeds.

Like travel from point 0,0 to point 0,1 and 0,0 to 0,500 with Skill 1-5 and HS 1-7

How to check it? Just enter the next coordinate when you sit in the ship and ask from an ETA from the Computer.

Here I will collect all the information what the pilots give:

Skill :: HS :: 1 Coord :: 500 Coord

1 :: 1 :: X sec :: X sec
1 :: 2 :: X sec :: X sec
1 :: 3 :: X sec :: X sec
1 :: 4 :: X sec :: X sec
1 :: 5 :: X sec :: X sec
1 :: 6 :: X sec :: X sec
1 :: 7 :: X sec :: X sec
2 :: 1 :: X sec :: X sec
2 :: 2 :: X sec :: X sec
2 :: 3 :: X sec :: X sec
2 :: 4 :: X sec :: X sec
2 :: 5 :: X sec :: X sec
2 :: 6 :: X sec :: X sec
2 :: 7 :: X sec :: X sec
3 :: 1 :: X sec :: X sec
3 :: 2 :: X sec :: X sec
3 :: 3 :: X sec :: X sec
3 :: 4 :: X sec :: X sec
3 :: 5 :: X sec :: X sec
3 :: 6 :: X sec :: X sec
3 :: 7 :: X sec :: X sec
4 :: 1 :: X sec :: X sec
4 :: 2 :: X sec :: X sec
4 :: 3 :: X sec :: X sec
4 :: 4 :: X sec :: X sec
4 :: 5 :: X sec :: X sec
4 :: 6 :: X sec :: X sec
4 :: 7 :: X sec :: X sec
5 :: 1 :: X sec :: X sec
5 :: 2 :: X sec :: X sec
5 :: 3 :: X sec :: X sec
5 :: 4 :: X sec :: X sec
5 :: 5 :: X sec :: X sec
5 :: 6 :: X sec :: X sec
5 :: 7 :: X sec :: X sec

Not sure why some people keep saying the times are different for them, it always been the same for me over the years. Maybe with the difference of nav comp not showing seconds which is trivial, like moving one square in hyper showed as 52min while it was 52min 10sec.

It's more than the seconds difference. E.g. on a 500-coordinate leg with Hyper 7 and Skill 5, there's about 7 minutes difference. Not a big enough deal to really warrant the work IMO.

What're you planning to do with the table assuming you got it, Hans?

Jevon is correct ... even though we use rectangular coordinates the path is not calculated in a slope intercept form and thus Pythagorean theory is no use

I see.
Thank you for the information, I will keep it in mind and I will write a note about it.

However I still would like to get information from other pilots, so to make it a game or try if we can find out how SWC calulate out the travel time or just find out closer numbers :)
