Year 15 Day 46 4:44

First of all, my english is not too good.

When there is a planet 5x5, i figured out that i can build 5x5 slabs = 25 times 4 hotels = 100 hotels.

Does it make a difference when only 1 slab is slabbed with 100 hotels and the rest is barren or does all slabs have to be slabbed to support 100 hotels?

Hope i made my question understandable :)

Why would you build 100 hotels? if you build too many you'll actually be losing income.

As far as i know 1 slab can sustain 4 hotels.

if a planet has 25 slabs and i have them all, i could build 100 hotels on that planet. As far as i know.

So my question is: if i own 1 slab and 24 are barren, can i still build 100 hotels?

You can build the 100 hotels, but you'll get the same income as from 4. If you want the full income from all 100, you need to slab the whole planet.

Thanks for your time Scipio, but several players are contradicting each other in this issue.. So that is why i'm seeking admin help.

im pretty sure scipios wrong as i have seen plans to stick all of the hotels on a planet in one city etc but that might just have been the guy organising it was an idiot

You do not have to slab the planet to get the full income from the 100 hotels. Its based on planet size. In your case you could build all 100 im afew cities and as long as you do not build any additional hotels in additional cities, you will not damage the income

Mnsf is determined by the number of slabs per planet so if you have fewer slabs you must also have fewer of that facility type to avoid losing income. For example if you can have 4 hotels per slab on the planet it doesn't matter on which slabs you build them but it does matter how many slabs you have overall.

It's always comforting to get conflicting answer from 2 ASims who supposedly know the game. Thx Syn for getting it right.

How do you know Syn is right?

Syn is correct unless they changed the code recently. The MNSF is per slab on the planet, regardless of the size of a planet. So a single slab on a 20x20 will only allow 4 hotels before you start losing income. 10 slabs and you can get up to 40 hotels before you start losing income, etc.

It should be fairly obvious by now that if Siejo and I post conflicting answers, I will always be the one who has it right. ;p

(I'm not an ASim though; just a player who knows the mechanics better than most of the ASims.)
