How can I kick out a passenger from a ship that can't land on planets?
It is a droid that belongs to someone else and I can't seem to find a way to remove it.

AFAIK under the current rules you cannot.

Even with Docking Ports on ships, you can't kick outside a Ship onto another ship anymore.

Fly your ship to the Derra system and attack the droid until you destroy it.

Or go to Derra, use an ion blaster, disable it, and attach a restraining bolt. Boom, instant makeover.

Why Derra? In that system you are allowed to attack it and in other areas not?

Correct. Derra is the system where combat features are tested.

Sel has said in the past that he means to expand the kick passenger functionality when he has time, so hopefully he'll add the ability to kick onto entities docked within an entity at least. Probably still a ways off though.

If the droid is in my ship, will the owner know my location all the time?

No, if he doesn't have access to your ship he will only see the container type/name but not the location.
