So I see the exp. for NPC during movement is implemented. However, I am wondering a few things:
1. Why do they only get only 1/8th the exp I get?
2. Why won't they follow me across terrain? (they are slower, is that why)
3. Are their levels at the same exp amount ours are at?

1. They should be getting the exact same quantity that you are getting. This is how it was working on dev.

2. Hrm, I don't know anything about that but it may be something for the bug base. Reasonably they should continue to follow you.

I just checked my NPC's xp (I've been out strolling for the last few days and had them along). I also seem to have the problem that Zao has, with the NPC's earning XP at around 1/8th my rate (they should have near 800 but have 82 instead).

Haven't had any trouble with them keeping up with me though. Something for the bug base perhaps?

Yup, my NPCs gained 3 XP for walking a circle around the city.

I dont think NPCs are gonna gain any XP if you have them "along" with you for a stroll.They have to be doing it themselves ala auto gather...this is the only way I know of that an NPC can travel alone.

Why not? I'd figure its different then being on a ship seeing as I don't CARRY all 300 NPC's on my back.

bug added to data base. Is happening to my troopers following me as well as the builders that do travel to 0,0 after completing construction.

No, they do indeed gain XP when traveling in a party with you, and this is intentional. However, that feature does seem to be less than fully functional at the moment since something is limiting the XP they gain, and if that is intended, it doesn't seem to be documented as such. I've also made a note in the original NPC XP testing thread on dev, so I'll come back here with updates if there are any.

Veynom has been assigned to it in the bug base.
