I was looking at the Total Capital area of my inventory, and noticed that NPCs were not included. When I saw that, I looked at my inventory, and noticed I did in fact have NPCs, and plenty of them. I thought about it for a second, and could not figure out why NPCs do not count.

So, I guess my general question is why don't NPCs count? They cost money to buy, and that money comes from your total capital, so I see no reason why they should not count. I am just more curious about this than anything else.

I suppose because they are not slaves (in a technical sense), but more people that are "hired" to work for you.

Whereas slaves, should they ever be implemented, would indeed probably count toward your capital total.
