Hi just a quick question

During my death wait I have the option of choosing my name, my question is due to my location being showed as Onboard the YV-666 Gráinne Ni Mháille if I change my name before the actual recreate date, will my body show up at it's location with the new name?

From the last time I died, I can say that the name only shows as being authorised. The name that shows on the right is your old name, the new name only shows up after you have properly recreated.

It's intended to streamline the process, so that you don't have to wait 3 weeks, and then wait again to have the new name authorised.

The actual process of it all in the database is like this.

All characters are represented as two separate files. One is the login and OOC info, the other is the IC stuff. When you get to create a new character, your OOC file still exist but is no longer associated with your OOC info. A file is created and your login name is changed.

There is one field that is used to remember your "Old Handle" and one for "New Handle". (which is only accessible by assistant-simmasters and above)

Not quite what I am asking, let me put in another way

Currently my body is on Teniel's ship, can she see it? IF so, if I change my name before the recreate date does Teniel see my body on the ship with the new name?

Nope, new name is only visible in the database and is only in a holding spot with your old character info.

Once it is time to recreate, you no longer use the info from the old character and a new entry is added for the new character.
