How does a new faction gain their own DC's? And would it be possible to gain a few blank DC's and create some new [in my case] Weapons-I have a few sellect weapons mentioned in the Republic Commando series and some very nice pics to represent them. Upon creating my new faction will admin allow me to create four new DC's?

Highly doubtful as all new DC's should be researched.

The devs have however considered generic DC's but again that is for when R&D is released so the faction has a base to start research from.

DCs were given out to existing factions when production was implemented. Certain "generic" DCs are given (eg, escape pods to Ship producers) upon creation, but nothing major.

When R&D is implemented, people can research new entities following a "tech tree" system.
