No. You were just told it isn't implemented outside of Derra. Clearly whoever told you otherwise has no clue what they're talking about and shouldn't be a trusted source of information.

Infantry command only lets you create a new squad for every skill point you allocate to it. It is indeed implemented. That is the full use of the skill.

What you can subsequently use those squads for, on the other hand, is a separate function from the skill itself and is not fully implemented.. as has already been mentioned twice in this thread.

For what it's worth, there are only a handful of us left who hunt on Derra and most of the people I find there are not aware that Infantry Command is implemented for Derra.

I would say that in the 15 months I have hunted on Derra that I have never been attacked whilst out hunting, (other than when we were fighting the GE, who have long since fled), but sadly that record was broken the other day by someone who was under the misapprehension that they could only use one squad.

Unfortunately for them they had not seen that my other six squads were deployed when they attacked me!

So in short, don't be afraid to come to Derra as we are generally a nice bunch and I'm pretty much the only person using multiple squads there, most of the time.

I am confident that you will find that using multiple squads brings a whole new perspective to hunting.

Sadly I have a day job that prevents me from gallevanting on derra.

Thats only ~1/3 of a day, plenty of time to play if you really want to.

Most of us have day jobs and just gallevant when we get some LOA time.

Pfft. Who actually does work for factions anymore? It's far more profitable (level wise and credit wise) to go hunting.

I do because I feel your working towards an actual goal with others with a faction instead of hunting aimlessly.

Or join a faction that pays you to hunt bandits, obvious solution.

Do what you enjoy.

But if hunting isn't what you enjoy and therefore spend your time on other things, don't complain because you're not hunting. :p
