Archives » Moving a Class A Cargo Container, which is the best cheapest Ship?
I'm looking to buy the best ship i can that can also move a Class A Cargo Container for around 25 Million Credits.

Is the Medicae-class Nebulon-B Frigate able to move a Class A Cargo Container?
If so is it the cheapest/ best ship to be able to do the job?

Could a Quasar Fire-class Bulk Cruiser also move it as it has a Tractor beam and a Docking Bay? These seemed to have dropped in price and also a good bit faster.

Any other ships of a similar price that would be a good better buy?

Thanks in advance

Murgo

A Quasar doesn't hold enough weight & a Med Neb doesn't have a tractor beam.

A Corona-class frigate is your best bet for its cost.

If you're just moving one, the most cost effective thing would be to just hire someone to do it. You could probably get it moved for under 2 million credits.

Best available ship for public is MTC, not sure though if that is in your budget limit.

MTC best? Hmm, at 10x the cost of the Corona I'd disagree with ya there.

I am used to dealing with everything in large quantities. If you want to be able to move more than 2, then Corona won't be enough.

But sounds like Murgo only wants to move one.

Off topic, but if Corona costs only 10-15mil, damn thats cheap.

Many thanks for the reply's.

Dane Star who sold me a Class A Cargo Container (which i didn't keep but 'flipped it'for a profit) said ''contrary to public belief they can be transported in any ship with an appropriate sized docking bay without a tractor beam.
This is where he stated it in the listing.

No sure how true that is?

However, regardless I followed Tomas O`Cuinn advice and purchased a Corona-class frigate for less the 21 Million as for the money i felt it was a good buy.

Thanks again
Murgo

Considering you cannot fly a cargo container and there's no other way to load it, a tractor beam is indeed required.

I just want to add that I love Corona's and I agree with Tomas. Everyone should have at least one Corona ;)
