Just curious about deep space and how it works?

Deep space is any part on the galactic map that's not a named system, i.e. doesn't contain any planets/stars/other bodies.

You can get there with any hyperspace capable ship by using hyperspace travel and manually entering coordinates that don't represent a system.

A list of known systems is available from the Galaxy Map on the rules pages.

If I enter coordinates, like -300, -300 in my Nav Comp, is it considered Deep Space? Since the coordinates I mention isn't charted/listed/mapped in the Galaxy Map, I can consider it as Deep Space, no? Hopefully I can find planet that I can build on. Well, if there is any. (I hope I won't travel straight toward suns and/or black holes...)

Edit: perfected incompleted quote code tag, and safe wish

Deep Space is any unnamed system as Togan said. In this case there will be no suns or blackholes existing there as they need to be in a named system for the game to deal with them.
