You have upgraded Ganymede Highwind's Dexterity skill to 3 for 2 points, and subsequently his/her HP has increased to 94 (+26 HP).

You have upgraded Idiian Wooro's Dodge skill to 3 for 2 points, and subsequently his/her HP has increased to 73 (+10 HP).

Health Points (HP), using the same system as characters (see Life and Death)

Upon creating a character and levelling up a character or npc:
HP = round((35 * Race Bonus) + (2 * XP Level * (Strength + Race Bonus)) + Strength * 10)

Are the Rules or the NPC HP system outdated?

edit:

You have upgraded Quia Guga's Dodge skill to 3 for 2 points.

You have upgraded Lania Lissiri's Dodge skill to 3 for 2 points.

and no HP change. I don't really understand it. It must be something else.

One of the races has 1.5 HP Multiplier, the rest 1.0. All have 2 strength bonus. Could that be the level up HP bonus? Not a consequence of the skill increase.

But the HP bonus per level with 2 strength is 6 for 1.0 and 7 for 1.5 if I'm correct. Unless it's making up for the difference between an NPC starting HP and NPC level HP according to the formula which doesn't take it into account?

Edit 2: It appears the current HP of the 1.5 Kel Dor is 94, when 3 days ago was 68. The XP is over 2500 so it hadn't just levelled up. I suppose the stat increase asked for an HP recalculation based on the standard formula, and since NPCs start with random HP (assuming because of Race page), it made up for the difference between standardized and random HP. A level 5 Kel Dor with 0 strength would've had 68 HP. (nothing random about it, I suppose that's just the range depending on strength?)

Maybe my NPCs are just old. I hired them five or six years ago.

So, how does NPC HP system work exactly? What's initial health about if you don't mind me asking?

Are those real events? HP should only increase when they level up and when you upgrade their Strength. Very odd.

The HP increase at lvl-up is: (2 * (Strength + Race Multiplier)
Any increase in Strength will recalculate for each level.

Maybe they are of a race that have had their R.M. or Strenght bonus adjusted in the Rules since the time you bought them, and that triggered a recalculation when you upgraded any skill. My best guess anyway.

It's real, why it made me an impression. I think you're right, the rules or something must've changed and they're not updated.

Still, i don't get initial health. I suppose it's got to do with thr pc strength skill but my formula gives me the wrong number. Just wondering. I thought HP initial health was random, i don't know why i had that impression.

Well, give me an example of an NPC that you can't figure out - include Race, Strength, Level and HP - and let's do some math!

1 Year 18 Day 347, 20:17 You have upgraded Mal Kast's Stealth skill to 1 for 1 point, and subsequently his/her HP has increased to 92 (+42 HP).
2 Year 18 Day 347, 20:16 You have upgraded Kanet Lurechia's Stealth skill to 1 for 1 point, and subsequently his/her HP has increased to 92 (+30 HP).

For example, if initial health means how much HP you can start with, my numbers for a 1.5 RM are from 56 - 116 ... That's what i was curious about.

Nah, i figured it out. It's the right number now. I put level 0 and it worked.

Well, there's no level 0 so...
Can't really help without knowing race, strength and level.

0-5? What exactly is the NPCs strenght? Nevermind, I'll just do an example with a Strength skill of 2:

round((35 * 1.5) + (2 * 1 * (2 + 1.5)) + 2 * 10)
=
53 + 7 + 20
=
80 hp

i believe that's what initial health means, from 0 to 5 strength based on the multiplier. I suppose to show the difference between the different race multipliers as a new player wouldn't know. I thought wrong that it was the range of random health an npc is assigned because I had a memory of something like that. then when I tried to calculate it I didn't get the same numbers. why i asked. only at level 0 did it match those values. otherwise I get the same result for 2 strength at level 1.

I suppose it's not that important. But maybe an update on NPC HP might be useful as it seems only when you assign a skillpoint it updates. if you would think it important. I can't really tell what constitutes as important. Perhaps people don't care if their riflemen's HP is miscalculated as it would update in time when they assign skillpoints. all in all I was curious why did my NPCs got additional HP for adding dexterity and I didn't : ) maybe I could? I suppose I just wanted to point it out.

When the HP calculation was last rewritten and changes were made, they were pushed for all player characters and max level NPCs. They were not pushed for any lower level NPCs because those NPCs would all level naturally at some point (or have skills assigned). The reason for that is that SWC has a ridiculously high number of NPCs (2-3 million) and Sel (or was it Zhao?) didn't find it feasible to run a query for so many NPCs.
