Why does it take longer to gt places in ship hyperspace rating 2 than one with a rating of 5? because in star wars a higher rating means that the ship is slower.

From a technical standpoint, the information that SWC provides for a ship is the hyper speed, not the hyperdrive class. For speed, higher numbers are faster. We don't provide information on hyperdrive class at all and never have. I'm not even sure we could, for balance reasons, without seriously contradicting canon.
