Hello,

Beeing a member of a production faction I am able to build nearly every ship in the galaxy if I am able to meet the general preconditions.

The only starships in the game that do seem to need another type of faction is the uglies series.

Is this assessment correct? Did I do something wrong there?

If this is the correct mechanic, why is that so? Is this due to some actual reasons or is this just historic reasons? Will this eventually change somehow?

Uglieswere previously produced exclusively by recycling factions, as it was implied that they were built using husks of the ships they recycled (not mechanics accurate, but RP/lore). When recycling factions were merged into mining, they gained the ability to produce them.
