Ord Vaxal, Callia -- At a private news conference, the leaders of the Zann Consortium government and the Mandalorian splinter-faction Death Watch formally announced the creation of an alliance between the two that has been referred as the "Shadow Dominion."
The leaders stood on a small stage before the galactic press katunda morning waiting for the initial questions or outbursts to pause. Kominiic Greyson Abrams of Zann Consortium explained that the collective would not follow any political agenda, but declined to comment more on the Dominion's structure itself or how long the two groups have been allied.
"All members of the Dominion have agreed to participate in aggressive military actions across the galaxy, overt or otherwise, promoting crime and warfare," said Greyson. Our requirement for entry will be to bring others in based on these principles of conducting such business. In addition, all members of our collective lead the union equally. There is no sole ruler of the Shadow Dominion, only equality. The leadership of both organizations completes the collective council."
"Krath Dynasty has for years utilized the Death Watch to their benefit, but continue to reject us as equals," Peter Max followed as he steps to the podium. "They would rather keep our people as enforcers to attack the Imperial Union and other organizations while they reap the rewards. With Zann, we do not have to deal with businessmen, politicians looking to gain a technological advantage, or anyone else. We've observed Zann simply doesn't care about such frivolous things and if they want to take something, they simply take it. From here forward, Death Watch and Zann Consortium will be taking whatever they want from whomever they please, together.
Sitting silent for most of the conference, Krestviniic Ximaro Jix of Zann Consortium stood before the small audience concluding with a short statement to explain why Zann, an organization known for its refusal to ally, would do so now.
"The Zann Consortium and Death Watch are two organizations rooted in bloodshed, defying laws we don't acknowledge as just; only a symptom of hypocrisy. Together, we band now to restore the galaxy back to its natural order where the only real crimes are absolutism and constraint."
Following the news conference, an unidentified source within the Rift Alliance confirmed that the aligning of the two entities was something they believe meant greater doom for many corporations and conglomerates across the galaxy and urged correspondents to send out galactic wide transmissions warning the public that precautionary measures should be taken to ensure their safety and to prepare for potential attacks across the galaxy on an even larger scale.
