A Female mirialan appears in front of a podium, grief stricken but standing confident.

“Greetings, beings of the galaxy. I am Colonel Aylee Stewart of Shadola Sector Security. I appear before you today to inform you of a tragedy that has befallen Alissma.” Aylee pauses before continuing. “On year 20 day 20, Major Alicia De’Kova of Shadola Sector Security perished, after suffering a catastrophic hyper drive failure that sent her ATR-6 plummeting into the Skeebo sun.

Her loss strikes deep at the hearts of all citizens of Shadola.”

The mirialan withdraws a datapad from the podium, “When the news of Major De’Kova’s untimely end reached Kuro Neko, he replied with the statement: 'our dear Alice has gone, but whenever we look upwards to the sun, we will feel her warmth and presence with us forever. May Ara bless Alicia De’Kova, and guide her on her next path.'”

Colonel Stewart looks down for a moment before continuing, “It is our official statement that Major De’Kova was much loved among all the citizens of Shadola as well as throughout the galaxy. De’Kova had been my friend, wife, and second in command for many years. This comes not only as a major loss to Shadola, but to all of Alissma. During her time with us she has earned the Cross of Benevolence, the Expert Badge, the High Merit Ribbon, and a Merit Commendation. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten."

Major De’Kova was engaged in defensive fleet operations at the time of the incident. The wreckage of the ATR-6 was recovered, the ship damaged but still operational. It will be re-christened in her honour.
